County Attorney

Responsibilities of the County Attorney:

   

The Boyd County Attorney is responsible for prosecuting misdemeanor violations and penal laws of the state that occur within the county, collecting court-ordered child support, delinquent tax collection, juvenile offenses, and a multitude of other statutory offenses.   The County Attorney also advises the Boyd County Fiscal Court. 

The County Attorney’s Office also assists petitioners with filing Mental Inquest Warrants/Involuntary Hospitalization, Guardianship Petitions, and Casey’s Law Petitions.
